The shop where every krone becomes schooling
Since 2011, Butterfly Friends has run a second-hand shop at Vikersundgata 10 in Vikersund. Five volunteers keep the doors open — and all profits go to the schools and the health centre in The Gambia.
We have a bit of everything — just drop by
On the shelves you will find everything from kitchenware and ornaments to jewellery, suitcases, books and clothes — a wide selection in every category. New things arrive every day, so it pays to stop by often.
The shop is run by five volunteers — Olaug, Ellen, Inger Johanne, Vigdis and Anbjørg — who have each kept it going one day a week for more than fifteen years.
