Sunday, July 16, 2017, was the day

Coordinator Seedy Drammeh and Anbjørg Juliussen had been granted an audience with the First Lady of The Gambia. The two of them were very excited as they went through security. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a First Lady of whom The Gambia can be very proud.
She is a warm, kind woman with a heart for the country of The Gambia. The First Lady’s cause close to her heart is ensuring all children attend school, but as she said, “I am here for The Gambia.” I had brought my laptop with me and was very happy when I had the opportunity to show my slideshow about what Butterfly Friends does in The Gambia.
We had a wonderful afternoon, and all of you who know Seedy know he’s a great conversationalist. We’d been given 10–15 minutes, but it was two happy, proud, and humble people who said their goodbyes after an hour and a half. The Gambia can be very proud to have such an outstanding, kind, and warm-hearted First Lady.
