We're shipping the container on October 1

The Butterfly Friends Board has decided that we will send a 40F container to The Gambia on October 1, 2021. The container will, of course, contain school furniture, but any sponsors who are willing and able may also include a box of bananas for their sponsored child.
Shipping costs 100 NOK per box, and only one box per sponsored child is allowed. The box must be clearly labeled with the child’s number and name, and when you drop off the box, we’ll need to register you. You can drop off your box at the Butterfly Friends Thrift Store at Vikersundgata 10, 3370 Vikersund, between September 1 and 15, 2021.
Suggested items: Summer clothes, underwear, socks, tights for girls and jeans for boys, hoodies, fleece jackets/sweaters, shoes, bedding, curtains, fleece blankets, candles, soap, body lotion, and a mug or two. If you’d like to include food, brown sugar, tea, instant coffee, and whole peppercorns are all welcome.
For those of you who are sorting through your summer clothes and would like to help Butterfly Friends provide clothing for all the students who don’t have a sponsor, you can drop off donations starting now at the Butterfly Friends Thrift Store or at Olaug Nes, Lillemoen 2, (Vikerkleiva) 3370 Vikersund. Butterfly Friends is looking for summer clothes in sizes ranging from 4 years to L, and shoes in sizes 24 to 46, for girls and boys, teens, and adults. Bedding, curtains, terry cloth towels, candles, soap, body lotion, and matches are also great 😊
