From preschool to a completed primary education
The preschool in Brikama opened in November 2009 and has three classrooms, with three teachers led by head teacher Landing Sorra — at the school since 2011.
In November 2014 the primary school opened, so children could continue their education without leaving Brikama. It has eight classrooms, two offices and a library, led by head teacher Alasana Yarbou. In the summer of 2020 the very first cohort sat their exams.
In total around 36 teachers, cooks, watchmen and cleaners work at the two schools. The building has electricity and running water, and the kitchen serves a hot lunch every school day.
